The College Crest was introduced by Principal Fr. James Meenan to mark the 75th anniversary of the College in 1938. Previously, the College used the crest of The Holy Ghost Fathers as its emblem. The blue and white of the crest are the colours of Our Lady (College of the Immaculate Conception). The red represents the fire and love of The Holy Spirit.
The motto “virtus et scientia” means manliness and wisdom and was designed to express the ideals to which education at the College is directed. |
